JOURNEYS: Venice

Getting lost in the labyrinth that is the city of Venice is now up there as one of my favourite past times. Stumbling upon ancient gelaterias, tiny shops, and quaint cafes serving perfect affogato in totally unexpected places and inhaling the best pizza in the world makes time fly so fast. In this stunning, historical city, the birthplace of debauchery and masquerade, there is just so much to look at, but it's not overwhelming. Just quite romantic and authentic.

I can't quite put my finger on what it is that makes the city’s vibe so unique. I think the water has something to do with it. It changes the pace of things. At high tide it's like nowhere else in the world.
